During my second year of teaching I was introduced to a book named Notice and Note: The Close Reading Signposts for Fiction. This book really influenced and impacted how I taught novel studies. Several years later another version of the book, Notice and Note: The Close Reading Signposts for Fiction, came out, impacting my instruction of informational text. Below are some curriculum I have created for the signposts for fiction and nonfiction.
