Today in reading class, Rooms 201 and 203 reviewed mrmaynardreading.com, announced our winners of the Summer Reading Challenge, took a tour of the classroom for where to turn in assignments, and reviewed Friday's practice vocabulary and comprehension assessment.

In Social Studies, both classes discussed our 9/11 interviews and created a paragraph from those interviews. We then learned more about 9/11 during a special edition of CNN Student News after setting up our CNN Student Notebooks.

Mr. Maynard,

I read over the article and I think I would tell my mom to look at it every day to show her what we are doing in class. I would to see what we are doing or if I don't finish something I would look at this website and see what I need to know.

Hi Mr. Maynard this is Kaitlyn and I was am just going to say it was fun on the first days of school I hope it is like that everyday!!!

It was really good today we got a full recess at the playground and a full lunch I love it in 5th grade it is so cool.
