Today was officially the first day of the second quarter.
  • Today in Mr. Maynard's Writing class, we did a worksheet on compound and complex sentences. We passed out our D.O.L. notebooks and did 2 D.O.L.s and we used our whiteboards to show our answers to the questions on the worksheet. We did an exit slip on question #10. We currently have no homework. :-) Michelle Batzaya :-)
  • Today in Reading class, we read Because of Mr. Terupt. We are almost finished with the book. In this book, it is talking about life and death and has signposts like "Again and Again" and "Memory Moments." At the end, we wrote what will happen next to Mr. Terupt (after the doctor came in following his brain surgery). :) Emily Belcik :)
  • Today in Social Studies class, we are doing a state summary for the election. We learned about which states are expected to vote for whom (Trump or Clinton). Tonight we need to write a summary about each section. :-) Giovanni Benedetti :-)
  • Today in Ms. Reodica's Writing class, we did D.O.L.s and went over compound and complex sentences. We learned how complex and compound sentences work. A compound sentence works by combining two simple sentences. For homework, we have to do a compound and complex sentence worksheet. :) Mary Baxter :)
  • Today in Math class, we did a problem about a girl who leaves her snacks in bugs with no leftovers. We learned how to put the trail mix and apples all in bugs with nothing leftover. We listed all of the possible ways of doing so. :-) Jeremiah Aparicio :-)
  • Today in Science class, we did a results sheet for the aftermath of our mold project. We also went over our homework. :) Cruz Batista :)
